Outdo is proud to be supporting an important public health initiative as the Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance's award-winning bowel cancer awareness campaign expands into Warrington and St Helens.

Working alongside Vivid Everywhere, who led the campaign delivery, and Warrington's Own Buses, Outdo supplied bus side advertising to help take the life-saving message directly into the community. The campaign launch was supported by a media event featuring comedian and campaign ambassador Sophie McCartney, with photography and video content shared across regional media to maximise awareness and encourage more people to take part in bowel cancer screening. The expansion follows the success of the campaign in other parts of the region, where it has been recognised for its impact on improving awareness and encouraging screening uptake.

Using outdoor media to support a life-saving message

This campaign demonstrates the power of out-of-home advertising to support causes that genuinely make a difference. By placing clear, impactful messaging on buses travelling through Warrington every day, the campaign reaches people where they live, work and travel, helping normalise conversations around bowel cancer screening and encouraging earlier detection.

For Outdo, it's more than simply delivering advertising space. We're proud to work with agencies, transport operators and public sector organisations to help important campaigns reach local audiences in meaningful ways.

A collaborative effort

The campaign brought together several partners to maximise its impact:

  • Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance – leading the public health campaign to increase bowel screening uptake.
  • Vivid Everywhere – planning and delivering the campaign.
  • Warrington's Own Buses – providing a highly visible platform across the local network.
  • Outdo – delivering the bus side advertising that puts the campaign message directly in front of thousands of people every day.

It's fantastic to see the campaign receiving strong regional media coverage, with the launch generating additional publicity that extends the reach of the outdoor advertising even further. As a business committed to using outdoor media for positive community impact, we're delighted to have played a part in supporting such an important initiative.

We look forward to seeing the campaign continue to raise awareness, encourage more people to take up screening invitations and ultimately help save lives.
